On 25 January 2026, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur District, Balochistan following reports of terrorists associated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan. During the operation, forces engaged the terrorists' location, and after an intense exchange of fire, three Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralized, including Farooq alias Soro (Local Area Terrorist Commander), Adeel, and Waseem. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site. Sanitization operations are being conducted to identify and eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. The operation forms part of a broader counter-terrorism campaign under the vision Azm e Istehkam, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan say they will continue the campaign at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country. Officials emphasize that the action reflects ongoing measures to safeguard regional security and civilian life in Balochistan and adjacent areas, illustrating sustained coordination with local intelligence networks and continuing efforts to disrupt external militant networks.
