The Pakistan Mission, together with the German Mission, hosted an Iftar in honor of the delegates of the UN Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations (C34) during its ongoing session. In brief remarks, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, welcomed the C34 delegates and emphasized that the wider membership’s shared ownership and collective engagement are essential to advancing effective, credible, and sustainable peacekeeping operations. As a founding member of C34 and one of the largest and longest-serving troop-contributing countries, Pakistan reaffirmed its deep commitment to strengthening UN peacekeeping, while the event underscored strong bilateral cooperation with the German Mission () to support global peacekeeping efforts.
